If I have layers on an image that are alreay flattened, is here a way to unflatten them so i can keep editing?

No. If you import a layered image into Aperture and them make adjustments, Aperture will flatten it and that's permanent on the new version. You shouldn't really import layered images into Aperture as a starting point.

See the user manual:
File Formats You Can Import into the Library
It says: "Aperture supports most image, audio, and video file formats captured by digital cameras. "
Aperture is meant to edit photos, not graphics compositions. You can import layered images and stire them or use them as a watermark, but that's it.
"stire"? Sorry to be picky, but I really want to hear what you have to say, Leonie, and don't want to miss anything.

😁 that is o.k. Keith. 😁
My keyboard likes to send the key left of the one I am pushing - in this case it sent "stire" instead of "store".
Ah, I really couldn't make it out, I was even trying out my limited german, but it wasn't "hello"," yes", "no", "airport" or "bathroom".
