com.apple.appkit.xpc.openandsavepanelservice no response

When I try to attach a file to a mail using the "Paperclip"-button, mail hangs.

Keyboard doesn't work.

In activity monitor com.apple.appkit.xpc.openandsavepanelservice hangs.

What can I do to fix this?

I have a workaround using drag-n-drop from finder to mail. But this should be only a workaround!

Is there a bug in mail or in Mavericks?

MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Hello I have the same problem. I think it has something to do with mavericks misbehaving or maybe a bug in the new os. I will try to eliminate all plist files and the file you mentioned. By the way I think mail has other woes and in the forums you will find plenty of people reporting issues.

I have exactly the same problem in Yosemite 10.10.3.

Have you found a solution since Nov. 2013?
