Apr 16, 2014 6:47 AM in response to DjLukyby HFY12,Hello DjLuky,
I have the same issue with traktor. Native instruments knows about the issue and has stated that they are working on it here:
They have asked for us to contact technical support so we can help resolve the issue. Other than that I'm afraid we will just have to wait. =(
Thanks,
HFY12

Apr 17, 2014 8:29 AM in response to DjLukyby HFY12,I've been waiting since I got this new Macbook in October =(.
I have no idea when they will get around to fixing it...I feel like some collaboration between Apple and Native would need to be done...but I could be totally off. haha.

Solved with workaround!?
Deactivated the power nap function in system preferences last evening and had not a single crash over night!
I'm going to try this, but I bet this is a solid workaround. I've crashed 3 times in the past 10 days. Each time, a "Sleep Wake Failure" log has been left in /Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports. Checking /var/log/system.log shows an attempt to wake up (which I now realize is power nap) and looks like:
Apr 28 00:10:47 Matthews-MacBook-Pro kernel[0]: AirPort_Brcm43xx::powerChange: System Wake - Full Wake/ Dark Wake / Maintenance wake
Apr 28 00:10:47 Matthews-MacBook-Pro kernel[0]: Previous Sleep Cause: 5
Apr 28 00:10:47 Matthews-MacBook-Pro kernel[0]: AppleThunderboltNHI::prePCIWake - power up complete - took 0 us
It goes on to have a lot of errors (a few pages full), and then appears to decide to reboot:
Apr 28 00:12:30 Matthews-MacBook-Pro kernel[0]: process powerd[16] caught causing excessive wakeups. Observed wakeups rate (per sec): 436; Maximum permitted wakeups rate (per sec): 150; Observation period: 300 seconds; Task lifetime number of wakeups: 65479

Apr 28 00:13:52 Matthews-MacBook-Pro.local G2MUpdate[15850]: Next Update Check at 2014-04-29 09:28:18 +0000

Apr 28 00:16:45 localhost bootlog[0]: BOOT_TIME 1398665805 0
It's possible here that it isn't intending to event actually reboot since it does say "sleeping due to too many errors (num usleeps 15)"; which I'd translate into power nap deciding to give up and go back to sleep, but then 75 seconds later, it boots cold (easy to tell because it has lost its hostname that early in the boot process).
Anyhow, thanks for posting, and hopefully apple can find the issue with power nap soon. Neat idea.

Apr 29, 2014 1:50 PM in response to KumoLumoby xsima78,Mid 2012 Macbook Pro with Retina. Same issue after upgrade to Maverics. I was actually at Genius bar at Apple. Based on the sleep wake failure error, they decided to change the logic board right away. It didn't help.
When it occurs I'm not running Anyconnect VPN, do not have external drives attached or external display. I went to Apple store again and after 45 minutes of discussing and seaching their knowledge base they said that it looks like a known issues that was already fixed on Macbook Air by SW update and that hopefully (but no idea when) this will be fixed by Maverics update.
As we all know here, it is highly annoying and you are loosing your work all the time...
Apple, please come up with the fix soon! thanks!

May 29, 2014 10:29 AM in response to xsima78by BillHahn,UPDATE >>> OS X 10.9.3 Update seems to have fixed the Sleep/Wake Failure problem for me!!!!!
Please REPLY if your Sleep/Wake Failure problem has been fixed by 10.9.3...
While I have used the workaround of "pmset..." commands to alter when my Retina MacBook goes to sleep to avoid Sleep/Wake failures, before the 10.9.3 update I was still getting the Sleep/Wake failures after my MacBook lid was closed and left unused for several days.
Since applying the 10.9.3 update I have not gotten any Sleep Wake failures.
I would appreciate it ANYONE could reply to this post if you have seen the Sleep/Wake failure fixed by 10.9.3
Thank You.

May 29, 2014 11:28 AM in response to BillHahnby evarcaya,The reason for my crash was VMFusion, my workaround was to shut it down.
I upgraded to 10.9.3 last week and started leaving my VMFusion running for the last couple of days, and so far no crashes, bare in mind I had to also upgrade the version of VMFusion.
It apperas to have fixed it for me, but I will continue testing for the next couple of days just to be completely sure.

Jun 1, 2014 2:02 AM in response to BillHahnby Nik123,I have upgraded to 10.9.3 hoping all the sleep wake failures would be solved but no I still have the same problem.
I unplug my external hard drives, and click on sleep, just to make sure the late 2013 MBPS retina 13" goes to sleep. Once the screen is dark I shut the lid and keep my fingers crossed.
Normally in the morning the machine either has a flat battery, or is running or has crashed with Sleep wake failure. This is so frustrating.
When are apple going to fix the problem?

Jun 1, 2014 9:25 AM in response to jb510by sliverlake,I get this Sleep Wake Failure about once a week. I have no USB devices connected ever. It's a rMBP 13" late-2013. It's been happening since I got the computer in January. The worst part is I can't replicate the problem. If I could, then I'd be able to test different solutions to narrow down the problem. The logs are useless.
I just came back from the Apple Store. They ran a hardware diagnostic that came back clean. They suggested re-installing the OS and checking if it still happens. I'll probably wait to see if there's an OS update and do a clean install then. Otherwise, I have no idea what to do.

Jun 2, 2014 12:34 PM in response to Udo327by manometer,This fixed it for me!
1. Restart holding down Command and S at the same time. (By doing so you enter Single-User Mode.)
2. At the prompt type "mount -uw /" (without quotes) then press Enter.
3. At the next prompt type "cd /Library/Preferences" (without quotes) then press Enter.
4. At the next prompt type "mv com.apple.loginwindow.plist oldlogin" (without quotes) then press Enter.
5. And finally type "reboot" then press Enter.
