How to revert back to Pages ’09?
Hi,

Cheers
Joerg

I just renamed Pages5 to 'NewPages5' (you have to do it while the App is open and ignore the warning) then all you docs will load as usual in Pages 4.3. It does on my system, anyway. If you have the old Pages icon still in the dock, it should work. You can test by right clicking on a doc, wait for 'Open with...' and select 'Pages 4.3' - if it;s not there, then you WILL need to find a way to reinstall.
Well as asked I need to have the old version re-installed (or Pages 5 be fixed) but at the AppStore there is only Pages 5 that can be downloaded. Older .pages files will open in Pages 5 but my .templates files will not!
If you call Apple, they will probably provide a DVD with the old iWorks programmes on it. Are you sure it's not still in your system though? If you didn't delete it, it should be.
Yes it is definately gone 😟
By upgrading to Mavericks also my TimeMachine has been started from scratch so also my backups are gone!!!
Oh no! I didn't get any of those problems! All you can do is call apple, then, and ask for a copy of iWorks 09 - I think quite a few people are doing that...
I decided to reinstall iWorks '09 from my original dmg file. When I try to run any of the applications (Pages, Numbers and Keynote) I am greeted with a big crash. And the appstore does not see the reinstalled apps so they are not updated..

I had a look into my desk where I found an iWork 09 DVD and got Pages 09 installed, but it chrashes when I start it. 😟
Peter I just found this and downloaded the iWork 9.3 Update

I'll test it and see if it helps us!

Unless you deliberately deleted them, your old iWork '09 apps are still in your Applications folder. If they were previously installed from the Mac App Store they will have been moved to a folder named iWork 09. If they were previously installed fromt the retail DVD or downloaded trial, the iWork '09 folder will still be in your Applications folder.
Always run Software Update after installing & before running any of the apps to bring them up to the current version for your system.
As Peggy said, I still have Pages '09 in the iWork '09 apps in my Applications folder after "upgrading" to Pages 5. I was devastated when I opened the monthly newsletter that I do layout for and Pages 5 didn't have '09's layout tools. I was freaking out until I looked in my applications folder and saw that iWork '09 was still there.
I don't get what Apple's hoping to accomplish with Pages 5; it's a HUGE step backward. Yeah, it's simpler, but that's not really a good thing. Pages used to be a wonderful layout tool. It is head and shoulders about MS Publisher for a fraction of the price. Not anymore. Guess I'll stick with iWork '09.

You need to update them to the latest versions of iWork '09:

Peggy, THANK YOU for your extremely helpful suggestion. I don't know what I would have done
Thank you Peggy! I have been very frustrated with the new Pages 5 (especially with the inability to have facing pages!). I thought I was sunk... Susan
Thank you Peggy! Pages 13 was driving me crazy, and I thought my old Pages was gone forever. Thank you very much!
