Update Aperture 3.5?
I have Aperture on my computer installed from a CD, i never bought it from the MacApp Store. How can I update it to 3.5 without having to buy it again? Current version is 3.4.5.
MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

If you Open the Mac App Store and look in Purchases do you not see Aperture?
Apple has switch everyone with 3 over to MAS versions of Aperture and for most people it is just showing up.
No I cannot see it there

Is it an Aperture 3 or Aperture 2 CD?
Upgrading for free from the AppStore will only work for Aperture 3. And Aperture should be installed in your Applications folder and called simply Aperture, for the AppStore to notice it.
Is your system language set to English? For some posters here the voodoo, to set the language temporairly to English, helped to make APerture show at the AppStore.

Are you logging in with your Apple ID? Are you seeing your other purchases?
It is Aperture 3. I remember installing it from the MacApp Store when I formatted the computer without having to use the cd, but now I can't see it in the purchased apps list and it says that I have to buy it, I can see all the other purchases.
Filippo - there are several work-arounds on this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5466796?start=45&tstart=0
As LeonieDF noted, switching languages worked for some international users. Others had to re-install and go through the Apple Software Update path in the Apple menu.

The Mac App Store or the Apple Store?
Filippo, have you checked, if Aperture is installed in your Applications folder and called "Aperture"?
And is your System Language set to "English"?
If yes, sign again into the AppStore and check the "Updates" page. Reload it with ⌘R.
It's the Mac App Store. Aperture is installed in the Applications folder (not the single user's one but the general one). The system language is set to Italian, how do I change it?
Open System Preferences, the Language & Region panel, and in the left column add "Englsh" by pressing "+". Drag "English" to the top of the list.
Quit System Preferences and restart your computer.
Then sign into the App Store again. Relaod the "updates" page.
It worked, thank you very much!
