How to dump pass code on iPad 2

Apple updated my iPad os and now I have to type in a pass code AND slide the lock switch to get in. Can anyone tell me how to make this thing EASIER to get into?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Settings > General > Passcode Lock. Enter the passcode then tap on "Turn Passcode Off". Although I recommend using a Passcode, this is how you disable it. Good luck!

Thanks for the response on getting rid of the pass code in the ipad. It was so irritating to me that I went back to it and worked on it till I got it out of the way.
