When updating iphone 3gs from iOS 4.3.2, to iOS 5, will it save your alarms, (i use the alarms as a note keeping area so I have over 100 alarms set) and calendar events? User Allan Sampson said the alarms are backed up but i dont see that in the support document he linked me to.... am I missing something?

how will i know if it backed up the alarms? can i see what it backed up somehow?
From my experience starting with a 3GS to 5S, all my alarms was included in the backp. have no issue whatsoever.

Do you mind if I ask what it is that you do to use the Alarm area for note taking? Just curious.
Just FYI, you cannot update to iOS5 at this point.
Updates are to the most current version of iOS that the device supports, for the 3GS that is 6.1.3.
because I am a forgetful person so i make alarms for myself to remember to do things throughout the day and some of those alarms are daily occurances.. PLus I just like the ease of note taking in the alarm section as opposed to using the Notes app that is part of the OS.
But where in the Alarms can you take notes? I don't have a notes field when I set up an alarm in the native app.
