FCP 7 Timecode error : End of the tape reached

Hi,

When I try to make a batch capture, everytimes it says Timecode error : end of the tape reached and eventually, after I press the retry button a couple of time, the VTR detect the timecode and do all the batch capture.

This is my setting :

Macmini 2013

Blackmagic thunderbolt mini-recorder card

USB-to-Serial converter with rs422 to control the VTR

I've tried with many different tape and two different sony VTR

External G-tech USB3.0 drive

-It's not because of some timecode break : I recorded a color bar for ten minutes none-stop and I log some clip from it, but it still give me the same message.

-I'm not at the beginning or at the end of the tape

-I've changed the pre-roll and post-roll, I tried shorter and longer pre-roll

-I trashed my preferences

-I don't have any issue when doing a Log and Capture now.

IMPORTANT : When I rewind my video before the first clip I logged, it doesn't give me this error.

It's like FCP was set to only rewind 2 minutes and if it doesn't find the right timecode for the first clip, it display this message.

Any idea why?

Thanks

Jason
