dual mono

I work in broadcast news and I am upgrading from fcp7 to fcpx. I need to output my timeline with dual mono audio. In fcp7 this is very easy. However in fcpx it's proving to be a huge challenge - audio in fcpx is complicated. Anyone got any advice?
