How to make Mavericks USB drive

Hi

Using a USB drive I want to install Mavericks on it. With this when I plug into computer and boot from it I will have Mavericks loaded without using Maverick on local hard drive. Is this possible?

If that is possible can it also be equipped with containing an install version of Mavericks too?
