Is there a batch converter to update pre '09 Pages files?

I have TENS OF THOUSANDS of documents in Pages format ... I went through the upgrade from "Works" to Pages about 10 years ago and had to manually convert each document into Pages ... it tooks weeks to accomplish. Now I've upgraded to Mavricks and the new version of Pages and find that I can't access anything older than about a year without first opening it it Pages '09 - saving it and then importing into the latest version.

That's fine if I had a few files ... but I literally have THOUSANDS.

Please either correct this (e.g., allow for import, update and converstion upon opening older files) or give us a batch updater ....
