My Itunes will not open, it just bounces up and down

My Itunes will not open, it just bounces up and down and then says Itunes quit unexpectedly as if it has crashed? I have no idea what to do?..Its a terrible thought to think a lifetime worth of music is gone. PLEASE HELP!

MacBook (13-inch Early 2008), Mac OS X (10.7.5)

If it does it under the other account it's probably not permissions.

Just in case, Disk Utility is in the Applications/ Utilities folder

Select your HD and click Repair Disk

ANYTHING at all can be uninstalled.
iTunes too.

Right click the app itself and choose "Get Info".

Make sure EVERYTHING says "Read & Write", and you CAN uninstall it.

Then, redownload and run iTunes.
