Control click a device then click Remove.
Then restart your Mac.
Turn off the keyboard and mouse then turn back on.
Then re, "pair" ...

Thanks for the tip. I have done as you suggested. It still appears that there is a "glitch". Whenever I choose to open a new application (such as the App Store) today which had 6 new updates. Keyboard and mouse both stopped working and then came back to life.
It appears as though the connection is there, but there is a hiccup with bluetooth communications.

Oct 30, 2013 12:44 PM in response to ChefDave1by ChefDave1,This is ridiculous, They both show that they are connected. Yet they do not function for 30 second blips. This update is on track to rank on the same level as the iphone update (worst yet). Frustrated and dissappointed to say the least.
I appreciate any assistance, I will be calling in for support shortly.
