My Apple ID is not up to date on my iPad and I can't change it.

I changed my email and used the new email as my Apple ID. The verification worked on my iPhone (probably because I did the work on my iPhone) but it didn't change the Apple ID on my iPad. I tried, but the Apple ID section was grayed out.

iPad 2, iOS 7.0.3
