Q: Mac Mini problems waking up from sleep mode since new Mavericks.

Hi there,

 

Since updating my Mac Mini to Mavericks, I have trouble waking up from sleep mode sometimes. It comes up with a black screen and refuses to show anything, although my cursor is visible. Pulling out the HDMI cable does not help at all and I don't have any other monitors plugged in.

 

Occasionally it might wake back up normally, but if not, I have to just pull the plug.

 

Does anyone know what to do?

    I had the same problem using a tele screen. Just purchased a proper monitor with HDMI, DVI, and VGA. Using the HDMI cable I still experienced the same problem of the spinning wheel on a black background. I solved this by using the monitor settings and setting the input to HDMI ONLY rather than auto input.

    Dont know why this works for me
