Alot of artist to delete, but itunes keeps resetting to first artist

I'm having a probleming deleting multiple artist in my itunes. i have about 15,000 songs in my itunes, I'd like to delete alot of artist at the same time or one by one but every time i delete one it resets itself back to the first artist, so i have to keep scrolling back down, anyway around this?
