Keynote 6.0 mixed up all the images in presentation

The presentation was closed 5 minutes ago and was all ok. Now after opening the file all the images that were pasted from illustrator and other sources are mixed. I'm forced to relink all images manually wich is quite a pain.

Is there a way to fix things?

Very disappointed...

I am having a very similar issue: I composed 45 slides for a presentation next week. The presentation is very important for my career. Now, when I open the slides, the images have all been moved (so that they appear with different text, etc.) Worse, the quicktime movies I embedded in the slides show a different image. When I click on the movie the correct file plays, but the image that appears on the slide is from a *different movie*. Ths is a problem because I need to introduce information about the content of the movie. I usually do this by pointing to the still image that *should* be displayed on the slide. Instead of that image, however, I get a picture from a different movie. This is CRAZY. Why did I update my software??? If Apple cannot fix this problem, can someone suggest different presentation software?

In my case i suppose that the problem may be related to that a lot of images were pasted into presentation directly, not dropped as files. Thus they all get the same internal names like "droppedimage.tiff", which could cause the problem. I can assume that properly linking all the source files may help to avoid the problem in future. Anyway, it's not the way it should work... This practive would definitely slow down the workflow, since I will be forced to create a separate file for any small icon i need.

Same problem for me. Presos were fine this morning, then opened one 30 min before meeting and images all mixed up. Multiple versions of preso all had same problem. Even when I copied the correct image (image A) from elsewhere in the preso and pasted on slide to replace wrong image (image B), it pasted as the wrong image (B). Would note that I have presentations saved in Dropbox, and co-worker had pulled up file on his computer and was having the same image confusion issues. Maybe have something to do with Dropbox/Keynote confusion?

I have been using the update 6.0.1 extensively and it is NOT managing the figures correctly. Figures are still moving around randomly in my presentations. Unfortunately, I can't go back to Microsoft PowerPoint as it would require too much formatting.

It is a disgrace that Apple is still without a solution to this problem. They are losing a lot of potential buyers of their products. It will ultimately hit them where it counts!

I really regret my move to Keynote. DON'T DO IT. STAY WITH POWERPOINT!!

Hi all,

I called apple support. The person I spoke with suggested that I use the prior version of Keynote (from i-work 09). That seems to have done the trick for me.

I believe that the programmers for Keynote are looking into this (they asked for my presentation -- but I coudn't send it due to privacy concerns). I hope they manage to resolve this. I'll begin using the newer version once they do.

Also asked for files. Problem still there with the new updates, I've got the same problem with another file recently. In both cases it might be related to dropbox. Anyway it's unbelievable.

Using previous version is not an option, since all colleagues are on v6 already, moreover I had to remove it from my machine.

Same here. Have played for a week, trying to find a cause, but it's not consistent. I thought it arose when I synched between computers with Synchronize Pro X (which jumbles up the files in the package on synchronization), but it appeared even when I didn't synch it.

Switched back to IWork 09 in disgust and frustration. In any case, there are no new desirable features in iWork 13, (and some have been removed) so no reason to upgrade anyway. But I had to remove it completely (zip) to avoid uncontrollable opening of files by iWork 13.

Maybe it's time to look at Power Point.
