I can no longer hide my purchases in the new version of iTunes

Since Apple removed the automatic download option for available episodes, I've been navigating my purchased list A LOT. I still don't understand why this option disappeared for passholders, a stupid and consumer-unfriendly move. But now not even the hide button seems to be working anymore. What is up with that? I have the newest iTunes version and I can no longer hide purchases I regret and don't want to see in my list anymore.

I click on the x and nothing happens.

Anyone else have that problem?
