Why do apps all of a sudden stop working for no reason?

Hi I was wondering if anyone else has this problem & if there is anything I can do to fix it..

I have wifi, nothing will change.. For example; twitter. I'll be tweeting fine & then all of a sudden I won't be able to tweet, retweet anything or refresh my TL. Not only will this happen with twitter but I basically won't be able to use any app such as facebook, tumblr, instagram, weatherbug, youtube, etc.

I won't even move & this happens and it will stay like that until I completely leave that area. It is probably one of the most annoying things in the world because everything is fine having to do with my service & wifi so why the **** does this keep happening?!
