Two finger swipe in Chrome breaks

Is anyone else having this issue after updating to Mavericks?

Two finger scrolling up and down the pge works fine until you swipe to the right to go back a page.

this action doesn't work, nor does the up/down scrolling from then on.

Two finger scrolling of select dropdowns in forms still works. Just page scrolling is broken.

Restarting Chrome does the trick but very annoying.

Many thanks in advance.

This behaviour started appearing for me today. Disabling the "Swipe between pages" gesture from the Trackpad settings in the System Preferences panel solved this for me. But now the whole navigation between pages functionality is broken, which is not what I want. What's going on here Apple?

This is reproducable in Chrome, Safari & Firefox. Any other application that supports page navigation will probably break as well.

I am using a 13-inch MacBook Air mid 2013 with an Apple Wireless Trackpad, but the same happens when I try it on the built-in trackpad.

Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Preferences/

com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.trackpad.plist. There may be a second one for the Macbook. Move the .plist to your desktop.

Log out/in and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.

If the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer ones.

Thanks to leonie for some information contained in this.

You might need to redo the View settings after an update.
