I need to make space on my hardrive but am afraid if I delete the unused video portions in Imovie that I did not use to make movies with if I also lose them in my Iphoto area?

If I reject unused video in Imovie and trash it, will it also be removed from my Iphotos? I don’t want to completely loose my videos but I need to make space on my hard drive
