Aug 9, 2014 6:51 AM in response to custard1952by Teresanye,I just switched from Windows to Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks. As I learned, iDVD is no longer bundled as part of the iLife package. I used a third party DVD burning software to export and burn iMovie to DVD.

Oct 29, 2014 1:54 PM in response to gordon55by kdh05,The easiest way I have found to add Chapter Markers to an iMovie 10.x project and then burn to DVD is to:
1. export the iMovie to a file.
2. Fire up Apple Compressor (purchase here)
3. Add your Chapter Markers (search help for Add Marker). There is an option to import them from a file.
4. Select the DVD output format.
5. In the "Job Action" / "When Done", select "Create DVD". You can either specify the creation of an disk img file or burning directly to a DVD.

Nov 19, 2014 9:46 PM in response to Terencefromflby DaleneBS,After many attempts trying to figure it out, I think I have it!! And it is quite simple...
After you "share" your movie project and click next, it will ask you where you want to save your movie. Remember where you saved it and what you named it. After it is finished sharing, go to the Finder and find your movie. Then you simply, right click it, or control + mouse click, and it will give you many options including: Get Info, Open With, Move to Trash... and "BURN (name of movie) to a disk"
Once you click on it, it will ask you to insert a disk and it is over and done with from there!!

May 17, 2015 2:16 AM in response to larryfromwappingersfallsby Klaus1,Why is there no iDVD on my new Mac? How do I get it and how do I install it?

To burn a DVD with iDVD from the latest version of iMovie, you have to export the movie using the Export button and select 480p as the size. Open iDVD and start a new project, then drag that exported movie file into the iDVD menu window, avoiding any drop zones you see.

Nov 27, 2015 4:50 AM in response to dizsby mekanic1,I am having the same problem since I upgraded to El Capitan and to iMovie 10.1..........I tried to follow your directions for locating my movie file but I can't locate those files. Could you give me ( I am new at this) step by step instructions on your successful procedure? when I go to finder to locate imovie library it is the imovie program that just keeps opening, not the files????? Can't seem to locate the files you refer to! Thanks for your help.

IDVD remains very popular, and it's easy to get.
IDVD is readily available as part of iLife 08 or iLife 09 you can buy these on Amazon or eBay.
