Premiere Pro Menus greyed out

I'm cutting a film on a new imac with Premiere Pro... I stupidly updated to Mavericks yesterday... now today whenever I try to import from my external G raid Thunderbolt Drive ALL my menus are greyed out... I can relink media to the drive and I can drag and drop media from the drive into a bin but can't use the import function.

I tried to import from that drive into Adobe Audition and get a fatal error. I've checked all my disc permissions.

Any ideas?

Spoke to Adobe. There is a known issue which they are working on. The best they could do for me was to get me to create a new user account and copy the project over. Apparently Mavericks corrupted the disc permissions.

Also I was interested to discover that there are QuickTime issues - apparently the codecs are changed in mavericks..

thanks Apple.
