At the end of Sync iTunes says "Finishing sync" and then just sits there and does not complete sync.
iPad, iOS 7.0.3, Windows 7 iTunes 11.1.2.32
I got the same issue with iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.3, Windows 8.1, iTunes 11.1.2.31. If the sync process is more than 5 steps, it will never end.
My workaround: run a manual synchronisation while the automatic sync does not finish.
Have same problem since latest iTunes update: happens to all 3 Idevices iPhone,iPad & Touch. I just cancel the sync , all seems ok , but not a great solution !

same here with iPhone 4 on MacPro with 10.6.8 and manualy sync.
Sync-bar never ends spinning.
So I click on the triangle to "eject" the iPhone.
All fine after that.
I see it the first time with iTunes 11.0.2 - my first Version of iTunes 11.
The new iTunes 11.1.3 "seems" to fixed the same issue on the Macintosh side
Have downloaded 11.1.3 and seems to have resolved the problem with both iPad and iPhone.
I just ran the iTunes update and it still does not fix the issue - I have 11.1.4.62
Anyone have a solution?
