Transferring Photo Stream from one device to another: is it possible?

I don't necessarily need to transfer it completely off of my iPad mini to my iPhone 5S, but I would just like to be able to access it (the photo stream) on both devices. My mom and I want a photostream to share, so I created one on my iPad mini one day, not thinking that I wouldn't be able to access it on my iPhone, too...But guess what--it's not showing up on my iPhone 5S, anywhere! It's funny though, because she created one on her end (also an iPad mini) and that one is showing up on both of my devices. However, I don't see any way to access the one I set up, nor how to add it somehow onto my iPhone. It only shows up on my iPad. I even went back onto the mini and added another person to share with (me) and sent the invite, but nothing shows up on my iPhone inviting me. Please help, this is driving me nuts! I don't want to have to delete the stream I set up on the iPad and set it up all over again on my iPhone, there has to be an easier way, right? 😢
