Weird occurrence with new OSX Mavericks update

Hi all,

I downloaded the new Mavericks update the day it came out. Cool stuff, and I'm loving it (especially since I was only running Snow Leopard up until now!

When I use Logic Pro 9 now, however, an odd thing happens. During play back, a growing black square appears as the track header keeps moving along the window.

I've included a picture so you get the idea. It happens every time. I've quit the project, the program, restart the computer - all multiple times. Still no change.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

You must update Logic Pro 9 to the latest 9.1.8 version to fix this issue...

Use Software Updates in the Apple menu in your menu bar at the top lefthand corner of the screen... to achieve this.
