Q: I have a question about the Console (was checking for MacKeeper)

I was checking to see that I didn't have MacKeeper installed (I don't think so??). It was suggested on one site to check the Console for a certain string that repeated every 10 seconds or so. I don't have that particular string but I do have the following ( which just goes on and on ):

10/30/13 9:46:09.076 PM com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[166]: (com.hp.help.tocgenerator) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

Anyone have a clue to what this is and why it keeps repeating? I have noticed since updating to Mavericks that Safari has been  somewhat sluggish ( which is why I was searching and someone online said make sure MacKeeper isn't present; had GLIMS and removed it and it helped a lot but not 100%).

Hiting the 'down' triangle (not seen in the above paste) gives this:

10/30/13 9:46:19.234 PM TOCGenerator[1654]: Error loading /Library/InputManagers/SIMBL/SIMBL.bundle/Contents/MacOS/SIMBL:  dlopen(/Library/InputManagers/SIMBL/SIMBL.bundle/Contents/MacOS/SIMBL, 265): no suitable image found.  Did find:

          /Library/InputManagers/SIMBL/SIMBL.bundle/Contents/MacOS/SIMBL: mach-o, but wrong architecture

My guess: is it looking for a hp printer????

Anyone have any idea what this is or whether its a bug/ malware/ or just gluing up my machine?

Much appreciate any help in advance ( or suggestions as to a better place to post this question).

Thanks.

Thanks, Barney. I'm not sure that's the complete answer as they appeared only after removing the HP stuff and without any other changes to setup, peripherals, etc. I then removed all reference to seagate and logitech from my system, including the preference pane for an old logitech mouse, restarted and they were still there. This morning (GMT) I restart the machine, re-run EtreCheck and they're gone!

Oh well. Perhaps today I'll do some work with this machine instead of merely servicing it!
