Q: I have a question about the Console (was checking for MacKeeper)
I was checking to see that I didn't have MacKeeper installed (I don't think so??). It was suggested on one site to check the Console for a certain string that repeated every 10 seconds or so. I don't have that particular string but I do have the following ( which just goes on and on ):
10/30/13 9:46:09.076 PM com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[166]: (com.hp.help.tocgenerator) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

Anyone have a clue to what this is and why it keeps repeating? I have noticed since updating to Mavericks that Safari has been somewhat sluggish ( which is why I was searching and someone online said make sure MacKeeper isn't present; had GLIMS and removed it and it helped a lot but not 100%).
Hiting the 'down' triangle (not seen in the above paste) gives this:
10/30/13 9:46:19.234 PM TOCGenerator[1654]: Error loading /Library/InputManagers/SIMBL/SIMBL.bundle/Contents/MacOS/SIMBL: dlopen(/Library/InputManagers/SIMBL/SIMBL.bundle/Contents/MacOS/SIMBL, 265): no suitable image found. Did find:

My guess: is it looking for a hp printer????
Anyone have any idea what this is or whether its a bug/ malware/ or just gluing up my machine?
Much appreciate any help in advance ( or suggestions as to a better place to post this question).
Thanks.

Barney doesn't the SIMBL.bundle need deleting too?
More info…
http://www.culater.net/software/SIMBL/SIMBL.php
https://code.google.com/p/simbl/
It describes itself as "plugin framework for hacking cocoa applications"
It basically is a way to alter applications that were not designed to be altered, it has caused issues on Macs for years, usually after system upgrades. Lazy hardware manufacturers had a habit of abusing it instead of writing real drivers or apps.
You can use the Finders 'Go Menu > Go to folder' … enter /Library/InputManagers/SIMBL/ and then delete the SIMBL.bundle
All the input managers can probably go too.
There are some old threads too…
