Will upgrade to 7 erase any 3rd party apps?

HI,

I need to know if I upgrade to the 7.0.3 ios if it will erase my apps so I will need to reinstall the and if it will erase any 3rd party apps I downloaded through direct ipa

Data will be erased if you update using iTune (computer).

It's good to backup because accident can happen.

The iPad will be wiped during the update process and data will be restored from backup.

If your update crash, all you data will be lost if you do not have backup.

This is only from iOS 4 to later. Not from iOS 5 to later. Anyway taking backup is a good habit. His current version is 5.1.
