If not, how do I set it up. I am considering getting this, for my studies but I am dependent on the php and mysql support.
There was no info as far as I could see, about what web services the server supports in the app store.
If I have to set up this manually, could someone give me a tip on how to set it up so that I know it when/if I buy this application?

PHP is supported out of the box. MySQL is no longer included but can probably be installed without problems. Install a front-end management tool like phpMyAdmin or something similar to manage it.

Would have been nice, if apple had something so simple written in the App store and webpage tho..
There are about a thousand pieces of software people ask this about, from Ruby on Rails to Wordpress. It would be an extremely long technical note. But typing
