How will a Smart Case affect cooling?

I am considering buying the new iPad Air, but if I choose to get one of the Smart Cases how will that affect the cooling of the device since the backside of the device will be covered up?

I had Invellop case for my iPad 3 and had no problem with overheating or any of this issues. Apple smart cases are very similar to those of invellop and I am sure will not affect the cooling of the device.

Here is the link of the invellop ipad air case for you to compare:

I guess it would just be nice to find some kind of official statement from Apple regarding this. I mean, if the casing makes use of passive cooling then it would only be logical that enclosing it with a cover would have a negative impact on it's ability to transfer the heat.

It seems to me that the fact that Apple makes this kind of case for this devices means that it is ok to use. Having to swap out devices under warranty is extremely expensive for Apple. It would not make sense for them to make and sell a case that would cause issuses.

However, if you really feel a need to get an answer from someone from Apple, it's not going to happen here. This is a user-to-user forum. You'd need to either go into an Apple Store or contact them directly using the information found at the Contact Us link at the bottom right of every page.

Best of luck.
