My iPad mini refuses to turn on

My iPad mini refuses to turn on. It was charging last night and when I pulled it out of my bag to use it for class, there was no reaction whatsoever when the home button or the on/off button were pressed. When I say this I am referring to the typical flashing of the large image of the battery in the red when your battery dies. Prior to this it would hold its battery life very well but due to its sudden inability to turn on, I can't be sure if this quality still remains. It's only a year old and has little to no physical damage, so I am really unsure as to what I could have done to cause this.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)

Try to reset your device:

Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)

1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.

2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.

3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

I have the same problem but no solution i tried to do everything.

Plz help. I tried every thing on the other page that texas mac man put up

My ipad mini won't work in itunes either.

Im really upset, im a huge apple guy and i really like it but i keep having problems.

Please some1 help me 😟

Put your iPad in DFU mode and then do a restore.

1) Plug iPad into mac with USB cable

2) Power off the iPad

3) Hold Power button for 3 seconds

4) Keep holding Power button and also press home button, hold for 10 seconds

5) Keep holding Home button and let go of power, hold another 10 seconds

iTunes should then show your iPad is in recovery mode. The screen of the iPad should be black. If you see the picture of the cable and iTunes you are in recovery mode not DFU.

What do I do now my iPad is in recovery mode? Do I just leave it and it will automatically turn back on when it's ready?
