Q: Delivering .IBooks errors

Hi everybody.

 

I've created a book with iBooks Author. In the process to send it to iTunes store, when I do "delivery" a lot of errors appear listed:

    A search for ERROR ITMS-9000:  on the various discussion groups, - brings uo what appear to be different problems and  no clear solutions were found.

     

    Can you  offer more information.. is this your  first book?  

     

    Does it contain photo images and videos?

     

    Althought  iBA  may  optomise  video now, image  sizes and  format are for you to configure.

    Hi,

     

    Yes this is my first book. It is a cookbook and it contains a lot of images but no videos.

    Can you tell me if "content 9" means page 9 of the book?

    I understand that I have duplicated some elements but I cannot identify them...

    As I mentioned in  first  reply, in a search ( Google and iBA  groups) I found that ITMS-9000 seems to relate to a whole list of problems and in none of the post I checked - did I find one with a solution.

     

    The errors list occurs when the "engine" which deals with the coding etc,. of the  book you create, has issues with its content and  iBooks store requirements, is my understanding.

     

    The errors are usually the objects you introduce to the book i.e. photo images, videos, widgets etc,.

    In a process of elimination, did you prepare your photo images to acceptable size - maximum 2048 x 1536  are the .jpg .png ??

    Apart  from text  what  else have you added?

     

    Did  you make any changes to the template?

     

    Have you  tried  re-delivering your book?

    If  not  I suggest you do, it has been  known that despite a list of errors... the book will deliver and  any  isues which do exist will be notified by the review team.

    Thank you vinnyvg. I have just solved my errors.

    They were all about the tables I've introduced in the book. The template has a widget that is also a text box. I was pasting my tables in them but without erasing the sample text that was there. I assumed that if I pasted something on top of it the initial text would automatically be deleted. It was not so. That why all the error mentioned "duplicate".

    What I did was, delete the table from the widget, delete all the text in the widget and then paste the table again.

    That's it!!!

    I have already deliver the book.
