I just got a new iMac. On my old iMac, if I wanted to temporarily remove all the windows (to better see the desktop), I just hit the F11 key. That doesn't work on my new iMac. Does anyone know the new command to do this? Thanks!

It still should be the F11 key, but you may have to press the Fn key as well unless you go into the Keyboard settings and check the box that says "Use all F1, F2 etc. keys as standard function keys". If Fn-F11 doesn't work, go to the Mission Control system preference and see if F11 is still set as the key for Show Desktop.

Hmmm! F6 does it for me. But I've disabled use all F keys as standard function keys in the Keyboard prefPane and am using a wired extended Apple keyboard.

The full size Apple keyboard requires the fn key (under F13) combined with the F11 key. All windows scurry offscreen to the right. Press these keys again to restore original view.
Not on my keyboard. I've not used the Fn key for anything in years.
