My Macbook Air shutting down Wifi routers?

Hi Community,

Although I'm aware this sounds highly unfeasible, it seems that my Macbook Air somehow disrupts / shuts down wifi on routers. I've now been in many locations where the wifi stops working where the only common factor is that my Macbook Air is on the network. The Wifi signal remains and seems full strength and ok, but there is no connection with internet until the router has gotten a hard reset. It will then work again for a random amount of time (sometimes half an hour, sometimes hours) until it happens again and the same procedure needs to be repeated.

It has been happening for several months, with different OS X versions and also in different locations. I've also scanned my laptop for viruses but none were found.

Anyone any idea what this could be?

Thanks,

Tim Metz
