Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
When I set a location-based Reminder on my iPhone 5S, a window pops up on my Mavericks-iMac asking permission, "'Reminders.app' would like to use your current location," along with radio buttons offering OK or Don't Allow. I have scoured settings on my phone and on my Mavericks iMac--I should not be getting this message.
Your thoughts appreciated.

Same problem. I have a location based reminder and in Mavericks I am consistenly seeing the "Reminders.app would like to use your current location" prompt.
I checked in System Preferences -> Security -> Privacy and both "Enable Location Services" and "Reminders" are checked (enabled).
The only solution I've identified is to remove the location information associated with any reminders.
I may have found a solution. I stumbled up it in the Security & Privacy syspref. There is a Location Services setting. Reminders was not checked. So I checked it. We'll see if I get the permission request dialog again.
Same problem. Checking in Sys Prefs does not help. If you switch user or restart after you checked the box, and go back, it is unchecked again. Btw, maps and calendar, also showing there, don't have that problem.
I forgot to come back and update. I found the same problem. Restart the computer and the setting reverts back.

Same issue. Add a reminder on my iPhone 5 with a location alert, and my Mac pops up the 'allow Reminders.app to use location services' dialog.
Funnily enough, this only happens on 1 of my 5 Macs (all signed in with the same Apple ID to sync Reminders over iCloud). All Macs are running OS X 10.9.3.
Same Issue. Please bring a fix in 10.10 OR EARLIER, Apple.
Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Location Services, and check Reminders.app. The dialog box will not reappear on your iMac.

It is checked. The problem is that it still asks despite that.

I'd suggest everyone else uses that page too. Apple probably don't read these posts so if you have something to say direct it at the iOS or OS X feedback forms.

If you want to report it to Apple's engineers, send a bug report via its Bug Reporter system.
The Mac Developer Program—it's free and available for all Mac users and gets you a look at some development software.
Sign in with your Apple username/ID.
Once a member, go to https://bugreport.apple.com/ and file your bug report.
You get a response and a follow-up number thus starting a dialog with engineering.
