Nov 4, 2013 7:25 PM in response to rnkarenwby meded1954,I just want to state that I updated a Mac to Mavericks OS and add the iCloud, but as stated above, as the calendar started to migrate, the icon/message "moving calendars to the server account" and then locks up. Any help on resolving this would be helped.

Nov 7, 2013 9:37 AM in response to rnkarenwby raygunclan,i had the same issue recently. user melisolaris posted this and solved my problem:
1. Force quit iCal and Reminders.
2. On your computer, unlink Calendars and Reminders from iCloud:
> System Preferences > iCloud > Uncheck Calendars AND Reminders
(I did this because my Reminders uses my Calenders; I set deadlines for reminders, etc. Also, because my reminders weren't syncing with my iCloud as they should.)
3. It'll ask if you want to delete the calendar and reminder events from your computer. Say yes because you should already have the most up-to-date copy on your iCloud.
4. Open iCal. It should no longer display the "moving calendars to server account" message.
5. Add your iCloud account to iCal.
> Calendar > Add Account... > iCloud > Sign in with Apple ID and PW
6. Give it a minute to update. You should see all your iCloud calendar events with no error message.
7. Quit iCal. Open Reminders.
8. Add your iCloud account to Reminders.
> Reminders > Add Account... > iCloud > Sign in with Apple ID and PW
9. Test the two programs by adding test events and reminders to see if they show up on your iPhone and your Macbook.

Nov 10, 2013 1:28 PM in response to rnkarenwby lebooze,After following steps 1-9, go back to icloud and add calendars back to list of checked items. Open calendar back up, and the error should be gone. The message seems to be when reminders and calendar are checked together. Only after I removed calendar and reminders did this fix work.

Dec 14, 2013 12:42 PM in response to raygunclanby fk23,I get to the restarting iCal phase of this but it bugs out and I get an error and it crashes and closes. So I cannot activate the iCloud function within it. Any clue why?
