I have a calendar that is shared among a few people who have a Gmail account. I use Calenmob on my iPad to view a bunch of calendar, but am wondering if there's a way to add the shared Google calendar on the Calendar app on my Mac running Mavericks?

have you try 'Add Account' in your Mavevrick's Calendar application? hope this helps.
I have but not sure that can be done, the calendar was created by a friend of mine in google calendar so there isn't a specific gmail account associated with the shared calendar, and the Calendar app does require a gmail account info
for this case, you should try import the shared calendar from your friend via 'File -> New Calendar Subcription' (URL) or 'File -> Import (.iCal file). 🙂
went to the Google calendar,copied the link to the .ICS file but for some reason Calendar doesn't like the URL, tells me there's an error
good suggestion though, it may have something to do with the privacy settings for the shared calendar, will keep playing with it

I found that this helped me see the group/domain-shared calendar:
Yes, you can do this. While being logged into your google account, goto this link: https://www.google.com/calendar/syncselect
You should see the calendars others have shared with you and most likely they will be not be checked off. Check the shared google calendars you would like to see in your apple calendar app and Save (bottom right). Check your apple cal app a few minutes later and you should see all of those shared google calendars appear and you can choose which ones to see or hide.
