Oct 31, 2013 7:04 PM in response to NP_iDadby robmcd85,There is an option in Settings to make things a bit easier.
Go to: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5018?viewlocale=en_US
the option you are looking for is Assistive Touch. It allows commonly used commands
like open, close, home screen, lock, unlock to be triggered by one press on a floating
button on the screen rather than pressing home button. I am not sure if you can do this
with voice.
