Nov 1, 2013 6:03 AM in response to Cydby rkaufmann87,★HelpfulTry using Apple's Bluetooth Troubleshooting article to locate your problem. BTW please update your profile to show what version of OS X is installed on your computer and which iMac you own. If you don't know how please click Bluetooth Troubleshooting for instructions.

Nov 1, 2013 6:44 AM in response to rkaufmann87by Cyd,Thank you so much for pointing me to that article.
I did update my profile as you requested. I guess I don't come to the support communities and didn't remember that my os and my equipment have changed over time.
My biggest problem is that on start up I don't have access to the bluetooth menu item. I just have a user screen and can't log in because my keyboard and mouse aren't recognized. I did read about wireless equipment possibly being a problem. I will try moving my router farther away from my computer. Again, thanks.

Oct 21, 2014 2:50 PM in response to Cydby mebbs,I've noticed that the problem is only there if the Mac is not connected to the power source, but happens when using the battery. I currently use wireless bluetooth headphones and the magic mouse, both loose connection to bluetooth intermittently. It's very frustrating and extremely annoying
