Thanks, randers4, that didn't work as I ended up yet again at that home phone # page.
However, when I again referred to the iCloud Support page, fortunately it was still there on my iMac and so I re-read it. When I reached near the bottom here was the tect that led to the solution:
Devices using iOS 7.0.3 or later:
- Tap Settings > iCloud > Keychain.
- Tap “Approve with Security Code”.
- When asked to enter your iCloud Security Code, tap "Forgot Code?"
- In the next dialog that opens, tap Reset iCloud Keychain. Doing this will replace your iCloud Keychain in the cloud with your iCloud Keychain items on your device.
- Tap Reset to confirm. Note that you will be asked to create a new iCloud Security Code.
And that did it for me. I'll just have to see whether it works out. I wanted to get back to you first.
