com.apple.internetaccounts.xpc wants to use the 'login' keychain

I upgraded to Mac OS X Mavricks using a clean install, and then moved my data over via Time Machine. It works great except.

Every 10-15 minutes the following prompt pops up on the screen.

User uploaded file

Which would be fine, except that when I try to type anything into the box nothing appears and I get the sound for an invalid character. Hitting OK shakes like I entered the wrong password (which is true the password box is blank) and hitting cancel just makes it pop-back up immedaitely until I hit cancel 8-9 times (which is when I guess it gives up).

How can I type the password into this box and\or make this dialog no longer appear.

Back up all data.

Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ In the Finder, select Go Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.

Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.

If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.

Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select Change Settings for Keychain "login". In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.

From the menu bar, select

Keychain Access Preferences First Aid

If the box marked Keep login keychain unlocked is not checked, check it.

Select

Keychain Access Keychain First Aid

from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access.

I finally got it solved, but I did something similar before I saw this

1) Went into Keychain Access

2) From the Menu, selected Keychain Access then Preferences

3) Under General clicked on "Reset My Default Keychain"

After entering my user password it blew away the user keychain and rebuilt it.

I had to re-enter all my saved passwords, but it worked and the box doesn't pop-up at least.

I was getting this when I migrated my data to a new computer with Mavericks. I managed to fix it by noticing that in System Preferences -> Internet Accounts, one of my gmail accounts couldn't verify the password, because the gmail account was set up in Mail with an alias (my own domain) to the gmail account. I opened Mail, and in its preferences for Accounts I changed my alias back to the original gmail account. I closed Mail and saved the prefs, went back into the Internet Accounts and verified the account, which now worked. I then logged out and back in and I no longer get this pop-up.

I too am having this problem and nothing mentioned here has fixed it so far.

The extremely annoying part is that although it's asking for the password, it won't allow you to actually type it, in my case I get the message 12 times in a row, about every 15 minutes. It does seem to be email related, but in my case MS Outlook is blocked from accepting other input when the dialog is displayed, so it seems to be (at least partially associated) with Outlook for me.

Running Mavericks 9.1 on a brand new late 2013 Retina MacBook Pro.
