iTunes 11.1.2.32 doesn't stop(finish) the sync process or is it the iOS 7.0.3 that doesn't close it?

Is anyone else having this problem? Both my iTunes had an update earlier this week as well as my iOS. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh and by stop I mean it status on iTunes says "Finishing sync". But when I go over to the EJECT button for the phone it shows it as stopped also the phone doesn't show the sync process running either. Is this just a glich?

Eject the device if possible, otherwise simply unplug it.

Reset the device by pressing and holding the home and power buttons until the white Apple logo appears.

Sync the device, it should sync successfully now.

I think it's successful in syncing, it just sits on "finishing sync" but the device eject button looks like it is done. When you hover over it it doesn't change to the syncing symbol so I'm assuming it's done..
