Where is the "Clear Cell Contents" command or its equivalent in the new Numbers version? Is there any way to clear a cell's content without also deleting the cell's formatting, i.e. fill color?

Somewhat counterintuitive, but selecting the cell or cells then choosing "Delete" from the Edit menu seems to do what you want, i.e. remove the content but leave the formating.

Select, hit Delete key.
That's all there has ever been to it.

Ah, Delete key! That's easier. All these years of going to the contextual menu for 'Clear Contents' in Excel.
But now I know the Delete key in Excel does the exact same thing as in Numbers. Thanks.

Also, Select > Cut clears Content and Border Format (an puts it on clipboard), unless it's a single cell selection, then it just clears the content and leaves the borders alone in source table.

So "cut" works differently on a single cell than it does on a multi-cell selection! I guess that makes sense. I get nervous about hitting the delete button (it just doesn't seem quite right) but it is a handy solution here. Thanks.
