Siri popping up randomly (when headphones are in)

It's been happening for over a week now. And once in a while Siri would randomly go off , but sometimes it goes off non stop. This only happens when my headphones are in. I have the lifeproof case using the headphone cord, and have been using it since I got my iphone 5. No problem till now. I've disabled Siri Fromm lock screen but now it pauses my music. My phone is not jail broken, had it for 5 months , latest update , I do not hold Siri on the clicker on the headphone or home button it just happens. Even as music isn't playing it goes off with headphones in. As I'm typing this passage Siri is activated randomly. ( using apple headphone that came with all iPhones) any suggestions ?

This is very frustrating. I am having the same issue with my iPhone 5s. When I insert the apple original headphones into the jack and I am on a call, sometimes the call gets disconnected. When headphone jack is plugged in, Siri randomly pops up when the wire close to jack is even slightly moved. When I am watching an iTunesU video (with headphones on) the video sometimes continuously starts skipping 15s as if the 15s forward jump button is being repeatedly pressed. Apple, please fix this!!!

That is not the case, siri is put on raise to speak. So when something is close to the proximity sensor, and it hears talking, siri activates. To turn it off...

1. Unlock your iPhone and go to settings.

2. Click on General

3. Click on Siri

4. Turn off Raise to Speak.

Your headphones - try swapping them out. The button that activates Siri might be stuck.

It helped , but it still goes off . It's less frequent though so thanks. Still want to use the apple headphones they have less static.

I'm having the exact same problem, when I put head phones it the ****** pops up at least 4 times a minute and it's driving me insane.

Shutting off the voice control/Siri launch daemon seems to correct this. You need an "open" phone, and an app called iCleanerPro is the safest way to disable it.
