Q: OpenGL Problem

I have a clamshell ibook with OS 9 and i was using the emulator KiGB (plays gameboy games) and when i opened it, it gave me a message telling me that the opengl extension was missing or old. can anyone please tell me how to update opengl to its latest and best version so i can play games and make my computer happy?

i also downloaded an older version. i sometimes find that works thanks to spotty compatibility in these things. by the way, are you on your computer all the time? you answer my replies within minutes!

    Hi, Expressive Indigo -

I downloaded KiGB v. 1.5.2. In the included file "About the Shell" it states -

    About

The enclosed emulator uses the Macintosh Emulator Port Shell by Richard Bannister. This has a common feature set between all supported emulators, which this document attempts to cover briefly.

    System Requirements

Emulators using this shell require Mac OS X 10.1 or later.

It appears that version is not suitable for OS 9, either. I downloaded a few more versions - the last one which states it will work in OS 8.6 or later is KiGB v. 1.4.3; all later versions include OSX in their requirements.

    Hi, Expressive Indigo -

I'm on it a lot, but not all the time. I usually post in 11 or 12 different forums here, and bounce back and forth - somtimes I just happen to check a forum shortly after someone has added a message to a thread I'm working in.
