Runescape on Safari (Tips Here)

I have seen many people asking how to play Runescape with Safari. I put together a few tips that helped me get it running fine:

1)Get the most up to date java from "Software Update...")
2)Runescape will generally not work in any OS below 10.0
3)If you get to the login sceen, but can't enter your user name or password, minimize the Safri window, then open it up from the dock.
4)Music in Runescape on a mac will not work at all if the latest java is not installed.
5)The game engine was updated about a month ago, if it hasn't worked for you in the past, try again.

I've been working on getting Runescape to run well on my mac for a while, if you are still aving any problems, I'd be glad to help.

Hi: I bought this MacBook for my son last week. We can get into Runescape from the Safari Browser but we cannot see the world map once logged in. The message displayed is "rendering map" and then everything seems to freeze. The MacBook is executing OS X Tiger 10.4 OS and I have (I think) downloaded the lastest Java upgrade (Java 2). It seems that there are three options to Java versions when logging in; 1. a default version, 2. a Sun Microsystems version and 3. a Microsoft version. For whatever reason on the MacBook it seems to select the Sun Microsystems version. I contacted Customer Support at Jagex (which by the way is lousy) and they replied that the Mac has a built-in Java VM that should work and that I should download the latest upgrades. Not very helpful or specific. Any advice that you could give me would be much appreciated.
