After updating my OS to Maverick my Superior Drummer plugin does not work. Any clues or do I just have to wait for Toontrack to update Superior Drummer?

By "not work" what do you mean exactly?
Does it not appear in the software Instrument list?
Does it appear but will not load?
Will it load but then crashes...?
We need more detailed information in order to advise...

It doesn't appear in the list of software instruments. I reckon it has something to do with 64-bit vs. 32-bit?

Did SD work with Logic Pro X prior to updating to Mavericks?
If so, the plugin didn't validate correctly... so open the AU Manger found under the menu option Logic Pro X, look for SD and manually select it and press rescan...
If you updated to LPX at the same time you updated to Mavericks.. then your SD may only be 32bit in which case it will not work with LPX as LPX only handles 64bit plugins so contact Toontrack for an updated 64bit version of SD
