Skullcandy earbuds stopped working after iOS 7.03

I have an Iphone5. I have been using Skullcandy headphones ever since I got the phone. I updated to iOS 7 when it came out and had no problems at all. After I did the most recent update, they stopped working, no sound comes through at all. I tested them in my Ipod and they work just fine. I tested the phone jack by using the earbuds that came with the phone and they work just fine. It would seem that something about the update iOS 7.03 caused this. The Apple earbuds don't fit my ears comfortably. They fall out when I am jogging so I really would like to continue using the Skullcandy's. Anyone else experiencing this failure with third party earbuds?

I, too, am experiencing a similar issue. I have the iPhone 5 and since updating to iOS7 just last week, my BlackBerry wired headset (that has been perfect without issue for the last 18months) no longer has anything coming out the ear pieces. I cannot use them to make call and have to use the speaker phone.. Have you been able to resolve this issue since your original post?

Yep - no dirt, no corrosion, no damage... Today I tried plugging them in while I was in the middle of a call and couldn't believe they worked. I figured the problem solved itself. But then when I tried to make another call with the hands free (activating Siri to call from my address book), nothing would happen. Pushing and holding the activation button on the hands free does nothing. And I'm back to hearing nothing on the headset - not even beeps as the number is dialed.... Very frustrating.
