Ipad Air yellow screen tint on left hand side?
Hi, I have just got a new ipad air today. I am noticing that the left side of the screen has a yellow tint. Should I take it back for a replacement?
iPad, iOS 7.0.3, Ipad Air

iPad screen looks pretty decent, that's slightly worse light bleed than mine, but the bleed is probably not going to really effect you that much. What are the first 5 digits of your iPad serial?
Thanks Audiophila. Sounds good :) and this mean that some iPad Air screens are almost perfect.
Thanks Steve514 for sharing this. This is actually extremely strange to see this difference of the weight. Yes please if you can show the pics of the screen 🙂 it woulb be great.
The iPad Airs with yellow tint on left side of screen all were DMQLQ and the one iPad I saw that was as close to perfect as I have seen began with DMPLP
I can confirm that the DMPLP screen is good as I have it
I have a DMPLN, swapped 14 days ago. Still the book spine issue that turns white in yellow on the left border of the screen.
What are the first five letters of your serial number to help identify?
Sorry, but what is the application you are using for the pic? I'll try to do a pic with the same apps thanks
ah ah ... Thank you 🙂 don't think I used this one too much 😕
I hope I have better luck when my local Walmrt comes back in stock. I've had two DMQL and they have both been bad.
Does yours have backlight bleeding at all on black screens? What about the right side being slightly brighter than the left despite uniform color?
Good to hear, thank you. If I don't get any joy from J.L. In a couple of days I'll ask for a refund and give Tesco a go. Of course that will mean losing the 2 year guarantee.
Do you guys recommend keeping exchanging an iPad until I get the defect free unit, or returning for refund then purchasing later to hope that the display problem will be gone in the later batch?
I suggest get a refund, and purchase an ipad air 2.
I am staying with my iPad 3, until next year. And then go for the iPad Air 2. I figure by then Apple will have solved this issue. The longer this thread gets, the more happy I am with my 3.
