Ipad Air yellow screen tint on left hand side?

Hi, I have just got a new ipad air today. I am noticing that the left side of the screen has a yellow tint. Should I take it back for a replacement?

GGSunny12, keep in mind that LCD screen uniformity issues are typical in the industry. Further, different colour temperatures for different LCD screens are even more normal (the colour profile is there partially for that reason, so use it!).

The Airs and Mini Retinas do appear to be worse than average with screen *uniformity*. Personally I think their design makes it hard to achieve uniformity. If we complain about it we must have a balanced perspective (if you are discerning enough you'll easily see uniformity issues on every LCD screen you own). Here's a helpful link:

Orkut, you're rather particular about light leakage ... that doesn't seem too bad to me :) How often do you see it in everyday use?

Your photos of the yellowish screen would be better if you brought up the keyboard, or just something on the screen where the sides can be easily compared. I am sure that many sceptics would not see much of a problem with your photos.

Hi, after five months after I have buyed my air 3g, I've replaced it because in it's screen there was an grain dust.

Now,, my ipad air has a perfect screen uniformity but the color of screen is warm.... little too warm respect of my previous ipad air.

it is possible that in the coming days will become less warm / yellowish??

I know your post is extremely old, but with the serial number thing, I checked my iPad mini with Retina, which I heard has awful screen problems as well, similar problems the iPad Air was experiencing, and it's serial number code is DLXL, it has a perfect screen that I'm aware of, but it has almost bubbles inside the glass in a couple places, and some of the paint from the black bezel behind the glass is missing in the upper right hand corner, and I can see light escaping if I view it from a top down angle.
